Presentation "Causing Factors of Juvenile Offenses"
10 February, 2010. The meeting will be held in Rustavi Rehabilitation Center in the framework of the project “Establishing Rehabilitative Schemes for Juvenile Offenders in Georgia”. The juvenile probationers, participating in the project, will present the results of the research regarding the causing factors of offense among juveniles.

Working Meeting within “Small Grants Initiative” (16.12.09)
A working meeting is organized by Penal Reform International (PRI) in the framework of the project ’Small Grants Initiative’. The project is sponsored by Norwegian Mission of Rule of Law Advisers to Georgia (NORLAG) and is being implemented by PRI.
World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the Universal Children’s Day

 

 

 

Event Dedicated to the World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (November 19) and to the Universal Children’s Day (November 20)

Rustavi Rehabilitation Centre event

Purpose of the meeting:

The meeting will take place between the participants of the Rustavi Juvenile Justice Support Program (10 probationers) and the beneficiaries of the Day Center “Sapovnela” of the organization Child and Environment. During the meeting the juveniles in conflict with law will conduct training on children’s rights and violence.

The Agenda of the Meeting:

- Opening Speech: Defining the purpose of the meeting; Introducing the organization, the objectives and aims of the organization; (20 minutes)
 
- Introduction of the group members Introducing each member Group practical exercises (Group ice breaker games) (30 minutes)

- Convention on the Rights of the Child The participants will be given an assignment to break up into four groups and introduce their work on specific cases of the violation of children’s rights; Presentation of the works; (30 minutes)

- Presentation on the ways of overcoming and methods of solving the conflict in case of violence; (15 minutes)

- Closing: The juveniles will share their impressions with each other; (15 minutes)

Evaluation of the Meeting:


- The juveniles will obtain information and knowledge about the main theme of the meeting and gain the presentation skills and abilities;


- The juveniles will improve the interpersonal communication skills and the methods of introducing themselves;

- Through the meeting the juveniles will handle the stigmatization process and overcome the negative expectation;
