Presentation "Causing Factors of Juvenile Offenses"
10 February, 2010. The meeting will be held in Rustavi Rehabilitation Center in the framework of the project “Establishing Rehabilitative Schemes for Juvenile Offenders in Georgia”. The juvenile probationers, participating in the project, will present the results of the research regarding the causing factors of offense among juveniles.

Working Meeting within “Small Grants Initiative” (16.12.09)
A working meeting is organized by Penal Reform International (PRI) in the framework of the project ’Small Grants Initiative’. The project is sponsored by Norwegian Mission of Rule of Law Advisers to Georgia (NORLAG) and is being implemented by PRI.
Local Coordination Council (LCC) Meeting in Kutaisi (30 November)




30 November 2009. Kutaisi, Georgia.
The regular Local Coordination Council (LCC) meeting will be held on the 30th of November at PRI Kutaisi Office (15 Zviad Gamsakhurdia Street) in the frame of the project “Establishing Rehabilitative Schemes for Juvenile Offenders in Georgia”. The project is funded by the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in partnership with UNICEF and is being implemented by PRI.

The Project Coordinator, Mariam Maskhulia and Teona Kuchava, the Juvenile Justice Consultant from UNICEF as well as the representatives of local probation bureau and prosecutor’s office will participate in the meeting. 

LCC is created to ensure the efficient implementation of the project. It is responsible for supervising the project implementation process. Local Coordination Council is also responsible for developing the policy and suggesting different activities and solutions in preventing the crime among juveniles. The representatives of local probation bureau and prosecutor’s office are also members of the Council.

Under this project PRI provides rehabilitation services to juvenile probationers in three pilot areas: Rustavi, Kutaisi and Batumi. The rehabilitation centers’ activities are acknowledged by local partners who participate regularly in project activities. Moving of the Kutaisi rehabilitation centre to the same building with Kutaisi Probation bureau is under discussion.
