New Developments regarding National Prevention Mechanism and Anti-Torture Action Plan
PRI and other observer members of the Inter Agency Anti –Torture Council have met on February 19 to discuss how they could assist officials in re-activating this body, which has been tasked by the president with supporting development of an National (Torture) Prevention Mechanism (NPM) and developing an Anti-Torture Action Plan.

Developments in Georgia’s implementation of obligations under the UN Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture (OPCAT)
The session aimed to introduce the developments with regard to the fulfillment of obligations undertaken under the Optional Protocol to the UN Convention against Torture internationally as well as in Georgia.
